Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 pounds lean ground beef 2 tbsp. liquid smoke 2 tbsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 cup water 1 tsp. pepper 2 tbsp. curing salt
Directions
Combine ground beef, liquid smoke, dry mustard, garlic powder, water, pepper and curing salt in a large bowl. Mix well. Cover and refrigerate mixture for 4 days, kneading each day.
Preheat oven to 150 degrees. Form the beef mixture into desired size sticks and place on sheetpans. Bake beef sticks 8 hours.
Makes about 1 3/4 pounds beef sticks.
