2 to 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour, divided 1 envelope rapid rising dry yeast 2 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup milk 1/4 cup water 2 tbsp. butter
Directions
Grease the inside of an 8 inch round baking pan. Stir together the flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Combine the Combine the milk, water and butter in a small saucepan and heat until very warm(120 to 130 degrees). Pour the milk over the yeast mixture and beat 2 minutes. Add 1/4 cup flour and beat another 2 minutes. Beat in enough remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead about 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover the dough with a towel and let stand 10 minutes. Divide the dough into 12 equal size pieces. Form each dough piece into a ball. Arrange the dough balls in the prepared pan. Cover the dough with a towel and let rise about 30 minutes in a warm place until doubled.
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Bake the rolls about 20 minutes until cooked through. Serve the rolls immediately.
Makes 1 dozen rolls.
