Grandma's Old Fashioned Apple Crisp Recipe Rating: N/A

Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
3 1/2 pounds pippin or granny smith apples, cored, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 cup butter, room temperature

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place sliced apples in a 12x8 inch oval glass baking dish. Combine sugar, flour and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Add butter and cut in until mixture reaches a coarse meal consistency. Sprinkle over apples. Bake about 60 minutes until apples are tender and topping is crisp. Serve hot.

Serves 6 to 8.
