32 wooden skewers 32 large strawberries, rinsed and dried 2 cups sugar 1 cup water
Directions
Insert skewer through stem halfway into strawberry. Lightly oil a large sheet pan. Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Heat to a boil, stirring until sugar dissolves. Boil until temperature reaches 280 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove pan from heat. Immediately dip 1 strawberry into syrup. Let excess syrup drip off and place glazed strawberry onto prepared pan. Quickly glaze remaining strawberries. Strawberries can be prepared up to 1 hour before serving. Let glazed strawberries stand in a cool, dry place.
