Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/4 cup prepared barbecue sauce 2 tbsp. light corn syrup 1/2 tsp. instant coffee granules 1/8 tsp. ground cumin 2 tsp. margarine 14 pound thawed turkey
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Combine barbecue sauce, corn syrup, coffee and cumin in a small saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring until coffee is dissolved. Add margarine and stir until melted. Remove glaze from heat and cool. Remove giblets from turkey and rinse inside and out. Pat turkey dry with paper towels. Place turkey on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Spray the turkey with nonstick cooking spray. Roast turkey 2 hours. Brush turkey with some of glaze. Loosely cover breast and tops of drumsticks with foil to prevent overcooking. Roast 30 minutes and brush again with glaze. Roast an additional 30 to 60 minutes until a thermometer inserted in thick part of thigh reads 180 degrees. Brush turkey with any remaining glaze. Let stand 15 minutes before carving.
Serves 12 to 14.
