Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. ground cinnamon 2 tsp. ground cloves 2 tsp. ground allspice 1 tsp. ground ginger 1 cup softened margarine 1 cup sugar 1 cup brown sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 3 cups quick-cooking oats 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease 2 sheet pans. Combine flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, cloves, allspice and ginger in a medium bowl. Cream together margarine and both sugars in a large bowl. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Add flour mixture and blend well. Stir in oats and nuts. Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls onto prepared pans, spacing 5 inches apart. Bake 12 to 14 minutes until lightly browned. Cool cookies 5 minutes on pans. Transfer cookies to racks and cool completely.
Makes about 1 1/2 to 2 dozen cookies.
