Fudge Casserole a la Mode Recipe Rating: N/A

Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
3 ounces chopped unsweetened chocolate
1/2 cup plus 1 tbsp. softened butter or margarine
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 large eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3/4 cup sifted all purpose flour
3/4 cup chopped pecans
vanilla ice cream

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a 4 to 6 cup casserole dish. Melt unsweetened chocolate in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Remove chocolate from over water. Beat in butter or margarine, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Mix in flour and pecans. Pour batter into the prepared casserole dish. Bake casserole 55 minutes. Spoon into individual dishes and top with scoops of vanilla ice cream. Serve warm.

Serves 6 to 8.
