Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups milk 1/4 cup sugar 2 tbsp. cornstarch 2 large egg yolks 1 tbsp. brandy(optional) 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 pints fresh strawberries, stemmed ground cinnamon
Directions
Whisk together milk, sugar, cornstarch and yolks in a medium saucepan until smooth. Cook, whisking, over medium high heat until custard boils and thickens, about 3 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and whisk in brandy and vanilla. Transfer custard to a bowl. Press plastic wrap onto the surface of the custard and refrigerate until cold.
Divide strawberries between 4 individual glass serving bowls. Spoon custard over berries and sprinkle with cinnamon. Serve immediately.
Serves 4.
