Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 large eggs 4 slices cooked ham 4 slices white, wheat or rye bread 4 slices sharp Cheddar cheese 2 tbsp. butter, softened
Directions
Beat eggs to blend in a shallow baking dish. Place 1 slice ham on 1 bread slice. Top ham with 2 cheese slices then cover with 1 piece ham and 1 bread slice. Repeat with remaining ingredients to form 2 sandwiches. Place sandwiches in the egg and let soak 1 minute on each side. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sandwiches to the skillet and cook about 5 minutes per side until well browned. Serve sandwiches immediately.
Makes 2 sandwiches.
