Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 pound ground beef 1 large onion, peeled and diced 2 tbsp. diced green bell pepper 4 cups cooked elbow macaroni 1 can tomato sauce 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly coat the inside of a glass loaf pan with cooking spray. Combine ground beef, onion and bell pepper in a large skillet. Cook over medium heat until beef is partially browned. Drain off fat from pan. Spoon half of the macaroni into the bottom of the prepared dish. Top macaroni with half of the beef mixture, half of the sauce and half of the Cheddar. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients. Bake 35 to 45 minutes until beef is cooked through. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
Serves 4 to 6.
