Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 pounds ground beef 1 cup chopped onion 12 ounce can tomato paste 3 cups water 12 ounce can beer 1 medium clove garlic, peeled and crushed 1 1/2 cups canned red kidney beans, drained 1 1/2 cups canned navy beans, drained two 1 5/8 ounce packages chili seasoning 1/2 tsp. pepper shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions
Combine beef and onions in a medium pot over medium high heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until beef is browned. Drain fat from the pan. Stir tomato paste, water, beer and garlic into beef. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer about 2 hours until thickened. Stir in kidney beans, navy beans, chili seasoning and pepper. Simmer an additional 15 minutes. Ladle chili into bowls, garnish with Cheddar cheese and serve.
Serves 6 to 8.
