Famous Amos Raisin-Filled Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 1/2 cups sifted all purpose flour 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 2 cups margarine, softened 3/4 cup brown sugar 3/4 cup granulated sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp. water 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2 cups dark raisins 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt in a medium bowl. Beat margarine in a large bowl until smooth, about 2 minutes. Gradually add both sugars and beat 2 minutes. Beat in eggs, water and vanilla. Stir in flour mixture raisins and chocolate chips. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes until lightly browned. Cool cookies 1 to 2 minutes on pans. Transfer cookies to a rack and cool completely.
Makes about 7 dozen cookies.
