Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 tbsp. vegetable oil 2 pork chops, about 8 to 12 ounces each 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 3 tbsp. butter, divided 1 tbsp. brown sugar 1 pound Fuji apples, cored and sliced 1/2 cup apple juice 2 tsp. apple cider vinegar
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season pork chops on both sides with salt and pepper and add to skillet. Cook chops about 7 minutes per side until well browned. Transfer pork chops to a plate and tent with foil. Discard drippings from skillet and add 2 tbsp. butter and brown sugar. Increase heat to medium high and stir until butter is melted. Add apples and cook, stirring frequently, about 8 minutes until apples are caramelized. Add apple juice and vinegar and boil until liquid is reduced to about 2 tbsp. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in remaining 1 tbsp. butter. Divide pork chops between 2 plates and spoon apples and sauce over. Serve immediately.
Serves 2.
