Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 tsp. minced garlic 1 1/2 tsp. seasoned salt 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 1/2 pounds beef or boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into strips 3 tbsp. vegetable oil 1/2 cup sliced onion 1/2 cup chopped green onion 1 cup sliced red bell pepper 8 flour tortillas 2 avocados, peeled and sliced sour cream salsa
Directions
Mix together garlic, salt, cumin, chili powder, pepper flakes, oil and lemon juice. Add beef or chicken and turn to coat. Cover and marinate 2 hours. Cook onion, green onion and bell pepper with 3 tbsp. oil until browned. Reserve. Add meat to pan and cook 4 minutes. Add reserved vegetables and cook 1 minute. Warm tortillas in microwave or oven. Layer with fajita mixture and serve with salsa and sour cream.
Makes 8 fajitas.
