Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
5 large potatoes, unpeeled 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. butter dash milk 1/4 tsp. pepper 1 pound lean ground beef 1 large tomato, chopped 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms 2 tbsp. chopped fresh parsley 1 tbsp. tomato paste dash worcestershire sauce 1 cup prepared brown gravy 10 ounces fresh or frozen thawed peas
Directions
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain, cool and peel. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mash potatoes with butter, milk, salt and pepper. Brown beef in a large skillet, breaking up clumps. Add tomato, mushrooms, parsley, tomato paste, worcestershire and gravy. Stir until well mixed. Add peas and cook 5 minutes. Transfer beef to a greased 2 quart casserole dish. Spread mashed potatoes evenly over top. Bake 40 minutes until crisp and browned.
Serves 4 to 6.
