Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 sheet frozen, thawed puff pastry
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Stir together sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle 1 1/2 tsp. of the sugar mixture on a flat surface. Place the puff pastry sheet on top of the cinnamon sugar and roll out to a 12 inch square. Trim pastry edges. Make a line down the center of the pastry with a knife without cutting through. Fold both sides of the pastry in to meet at the center line. Sprinkle 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon sugar over the folded pastry. Fold the pastry sides over again to meet in the center line. Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar over the pastry. Fold the left side of the pastry over the right to form a thin rectangle. Cut the pastry crosswise into 1/3 inch thick slices. Place the pastry slices on a sheet pan cut side up. Freeze 10 minutes. Bake cookies 10 minutes. Flip cookies over and bake an additional 5 minutes until golden brown. Transfer cookies to a rack and cool completely. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes about 2 dozen cookies.
