Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 cups prepared eggnog 4 large eggs 1 tsp. ground nutmeg 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 12 thick slices country-style bread 1/4 cup melted butter
Directions
Whisk together eggnog, eggs, nutmeg and cinnamon in a large bowl. Place bread slices in a single layer in the bottom of two 13x9 inch baking dishes. Pour eggnog mixture over bread slices. Cover and refrigerate at least 6 hours or overnight. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Butter 2 large sheet pans. Carefully transfer bread slices to prepared pans. Brush bread with melted butter. Bake 10 minutes. Turn bread over and bake 6 to 8 minutes until bread is golden brown and crisp. Serve immediately.
Serves 6 to 8.
