Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1/3 cup solid vegetable shortening 1/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. paprika 1/8 tsp. pepper 2 pounds chicken legs
Directions
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Melt shortening in a small saucepan and set aside. Mix together flour, salt, paprika and pepper in a paper bag. Wash and pat dry chicken legs. Place 3 to 4 chicken legs at a time into bag and shake to coat with flour mixture. Repeat with remaining chicken. Place coated chicken legs in an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan in a single layer. Drizzle the melted shortening over chicken. Bake, uncovered, 45 minutes until chicken is tender and cooked through.
Serves 4 to 6.
