Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 large egg, beaten to blend 1/4 cup fine dry bread crumbs 2 tbsp. plus 1/4 cup plain yogurt 1 clove garlic, peeled and minced 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground cumin 1/8 tsp. pepper 1 pound lean ground beef 4 split and toasted hamburger buns 12 cucumber slices 1 large tomato, sliced
Directions
Prepare grill. Combine egg, bread crumbs, 2 tbsp. yogurt, garlic, salt, cumin, pepper and beef in a medium bowl. Knead with your hands until well combined. Shape beef mixture into four 1/2 inch thick patties. Cover and grill beef patties over medium heat 7 minutes. Turn burgers over and grill an additional 7 to 8 minutes or to desired doneness. Place burgers on bottom bun halves. Top with remaining 1/4 cup yogurt, cucumber and tomato slices. Top with bun and serve.
Serves 4.
