Ingredients   (view qty in metric system instead)
Filling:
two 16 ounce cans sliced pears in heavy syrup, drained
1 tbsp. crystallized ginger, minced

Topping:
2/3 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup all purpose flour
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1/4 cup cold, diced butter

Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

For Filling:
Layer pear slices in a shallow 6 cup baking dish. Sprinkle crystallized ginger over pears.

For Topping:
Combine oats, sugar, flour and ginger in a food processor. Pulse to blend. Add butter and and blend until crumbly. Sprinkle topping evenly over the pears.

Bake crisp about 20 to 25 minutes until topping is crisp and lightly browned. Serve crisp warm or at room temperature.

Serves 6.
