Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
vegetable oil for frying 10 ounces sharp or extra sharp Cheddar cheese, cut into 3/4 inch cubes 2 large eggs, beaten to blend 3/4 cup fine dry breadcrumbs 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
Directions
Fill a large saucepan with oil to about 3 inches in depth. Heat oil to 350 degrees. Place beaten eggs in a medium bowl. Stir together breadcrumbs and sesame seeds in a separate bowl. Dip the cheddar cubes in the egg to coat then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture. Add the breaded cheddar cubes to the hot oil. Fry about 1 to 2 minutes until lightly browned. Drain cheddar cubes on paper towels. Serve hot.
Makes about 2 dozen snacks.
