Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups all purpose flour 1 pound coarsely grated extra sharp cheddar cheese 3/4 cup cold butter, diced 1/4 tsp. salt 2 tbsp. cold heavy or whipping cream poppy seeds or sesame seeds
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 2 sheet pans with parchment paper Combine flour, cheese, butter and salt in a food processor. Blend until cheese is finely chopped. Add cream and process until moist clumps form. Roll tablespoonfuls of dough into balls. Place balls 1 inch apart on prepared pans and sprinkle with poppy or celery seeds. Bake about 20 minutes until balls are cooked through and golden on bottom, rotating pans halfway through baking. Cool completely on pans. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes about 5 dozen.
