Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups diced Gruyere cheese 2 cups diced Swiss cheese 1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch 2 large cloves garlic, peeled and halved 1 1/3 cups dry white wine 1 tbsp. lemon juice pinch ground nutmeg 3 canned chipotles in adobo 1/4 tsp. pepper 4 strips bacon, cooked crisp and crumbled cooked vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, potatoes, etc. fresh bread cubes
Directions
Toss together Gruyere, Swiss and cornstarch in a large bowl. Combine garlic, wine and lemon juice in a large saucepan. Heat just to a boil over medium heat. Gradually add cheese mixture, stirring until melted. Reduce heat and stir in nutmeg, chipotles and pepper. Transfer mixture to a fondue pot over a low flame. Stir in bacon. Serve fondue with vegetables and bread cubes.
Serves 4.
