Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 cup butter, softened 3/4 cups sugar 3/4 cup dark brown sugar 2 large eggs 2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 tsp. lemon juice 2 cups all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup old-fashioned oats 12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Cream butter in a large bowl. Add both sugars and beat 2 minutes. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla and lemon juice. Stir together flour, baking soda, salt and oats in a small bowl. Gradually beat into batter on low speed. Stir in walnuts and chocolate chips. Drop batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto prepared pans, spacing 2 to 3 inches apart. Bake 13 to 15 minutes until edges are lightly browned. Transfer cookies to rack and cool completely.
Makes about 1 1/2 to 2 dozen cookies.
