Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3/4 cup butter 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate, chopped 2 1/2 cups sugar 4 large eggs 1 egg yolk 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 tsp. almond extract 1 cup + 2 tbsp. all purpose flour 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 cup chopped dried cherries 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour 13x8 glass baking pan. Melt together butter and unsweetened chocolate over very low heat. Stir until smooth. Add eggs 1 at a time then add yolk. Add extracts then flour and cinnamon, Stir just until evenly mixed, Stir in cherries and chocolate chips. Bake until firm around edges and tester inserted in middle comes out almost clean, about 30 minutes. Cool completely. Cut into 16 pieces.
Makes approx. 16 brownies.
