Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
12 uncooked bratwurst sausages two 12 ounce bottles of beer 1/2 cup melted butter 2 large onions, peeled and chopped 6 hard rolls, halved and buttered
Directions
Prepare grill. Place bratwursts on an oiled grill rack and cook 5 to 6 inches over heat, turning occasionally, until cooked through and golden brown, about 20 minutes. While bratwursts are cooking, heat beer, butter and onions in a large saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is heated through. Transfer grilled bratwursts to pan with marinade. Let stand in marinade until ready to serve, up to 30 minutes.
When ready to serve, remove bratwursts from marinade and cut in half lengthwise. Put 4 bratwurst halves on each roll. Spoon onions from marinade over bratwursts and serve.
Serves 6.
