Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
6 tbsp. butter 2 1/2 cups soft white breadcrumbs 4 cups chunky applesauce 1 cup seedless raspberry preserves
Directions
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Stir in bread crumbs and cook, stirring, until golden, about 5 minutes. Layer 1 cup breadcrumbs, 2 cups applesauce and 1/2 cup raspberry preserves in a 1 1/2 quart casserole or souffle dish. Repeat layering with remaining ingredients, ending with crumbs. Bake pudding about 25 minutes until golden brown. Cool pudding slightly. Serve warm with whipped cream.
Serves 6.
