Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 small onion, peeled and chopped 1 cup chopped green bell pepper 8 ounces kielbasa sausage, halved lengthwise and sliced 14 1/2 ounce can stewed tomatoes 1 1/2 cups water 1 tsp. Creole seasoning 2 cups uncooked quick cooking rice dash tabasco sauce
Directions
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper. Cover and cook about 5 minutes, stirring once, until vegetables are tender. Stir in kielbasa, stewed tomatoes, water and Creole seasoning. Heat to a boil. Stir in rice and return to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer about 5 minutes until rice is tender. Add tabasco sauce and fluff rice with a fork. Serve immediately.
Serves 4.
