Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups water 1 tbsp. crab boil spice 12 ounces lump crabmeat, picked through 1/4 cup butter 1/4 cup all purpose flour 2 cups milk two 15 ounce cans cream- style corn 1 cup chopped green onions 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper
Directions
Combine water and crab boil in a large saucepan. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat and add crab. Simmer 2 minutes. Drain, reserving crab and cooking liquid separately. Melt butter in a large saucepan. Add flour and cook, stirring, 2 minutes. Gradually stir in 2 cups milk. Cook, stirring frequently, about 3 minutes until thickened. Stir in crab cooking liquid, corn and green onions. Simmer 10 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in crab and simmer until heated through.
Serves 6.
