Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup butter 1 cup sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 3/4 cup all purpose flour 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the inside of an 8 inch square baking pan. Combine chocolate chips and butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. Stir until melted and smooth. Remove the pan from the heat and let the chocolate cool slightly. Stir in the sugar, eggs and vanilla. Stir in the flour and pecans until just combined. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan. Bake brownies about 25 to 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs. Transfer the pan to a rack and cool brownies completely. Cut brownies into squares.
Makes about 1 dozen brownies.
