Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 1/2 to 4 pounds country-style pork ribs 1 tbsp. vegetable oil 3/4 cup chopped onion 1 can cream of celery soup 1/3 cup frozen apple juice concentrate, thawed 1/2 tsp. poultry seasoning 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 bay leaf 1 cup peeled, chopped apple 1/2 cup chopped celery 1/2 cup raisins 1/4 cup evaporated milk 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
Heat oil in a large skillet. Add ribs and brown on all sides. Reserve ribs. Drain fat from skillet, reserving 1 tbsp. drippings. Return drippings to skillet and add onion. Cook onion until tender but not browned. Stir in soup, apple juice concentrate, poultry seasoning, cinnamon and bay leaf. Return ribs to skillet and simmer, covered, 45 minutes. Stir in apple, celery and raisins and simmer, uncovered, 15 minutes. Stir in evaporated milk and heat through. Stir in walnuts. Discard bay leaf.
Serves 6 to 8.
