2 cups all purpose flour 1 tbsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 5 tbsp. solid vegetable shortening, diced 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. cold milk 2 tbsp. country style dijon mustard
Directions
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease a large baking sheet. Combine flour, baking powder and salt in a food processor and blend 5 seconds. Add shortening and process until crumbly. Transfer to a large bowl. Whisk together milk and mustard and stir into flour mixture until moistened. Knead until dough comes together. Roll out to 1/2 inch thick. Cut out rounds with a 2 inch cookie cutter. Gather scraps and repeat rolling and cutting process. Brush tops of biscuits with some additional milk and bake until light golden, about 12 to 15 minutes.
