Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 1/2 cups crushed vanilla wafer cookie crumbs 1 cup finely ground walnuts 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips 1/2 cup sugar 2 tbsp. light corn syrup 1/2 cup bourbon powdered sugar for rolling
Directions
Stir together vanilla wafer crumbs and walnuts. Melt the chocolate chips in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Stir until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, corn syrup and bourbon. Stir in vanilla wafer crumb mixture to form a thick dough. Break off 1 inch pieces of dough and roll into balls. Roll balls in powdered sugar to coat. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
Makes about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
