Crust: 1 3/4 cups chocolate cookie crumbs 1/4 cup melted butter
Filling: 24 ounces cream cheese, room temperature 1 1/4 cups sugar 1 cup sour cream 2 tbsp. finely grated orange peel 1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp. fresh orange juice 2 tbsp. orange-flavored liqueur 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 cup all purpose flour 4 large eggs 1 large egg yolk
Glaze: 1 1/2 cups orange marmalade
Directions
For Crust: Wrap the outside of a 9 inch springform pan tightly with foil. Combine butter and cookie crumbs in a medium bowl or food processor. Blend until evenly moistened. Press crust mixture into the bottom and 1 inch up sides of prepared pan. Refrigerate crust while preparing filling.
For Filling: Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Combine cream cheese and sugar in a large bowl. Beat until fluffy. Add sour cream, orange peel, orange juice, liqueur, salt and flour. Add eggs and yolk one at a time, beating well after each addition. Place springform pan into a large roasting pan. Pour filling over prepared crust. Add hot water to the roasting pan to come 2 inches up sides of springform pan. Bake cheesecake 60 to 75 minutes until middle is softly set. Turn off oven. Let cheesecake stand in oven for 1 hour. Remove cheesecake from water bath and discard foil. Cool on a rack to room temperature. Cover and refrigerate cheesecake 8 hours or overnight.
For Glaze: Place marmalade in a small saucepan and melt over medium heat. Spread marmalade evenly over the top of cheesecake. Refrigerate 2 hours. Remove springform pan sides and slice cheesecake.
