Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 tsp. powdered unflavored gelatin 1/4 cup cold water 2 squares unsweetened chocolate 1/2 cup milk 2/3 cup sugar 1/8 tsp. salt 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1 1/2 cups heavy or whipping cream baked 9 inch pie shell
Directions
Sprinkle gelatin over water to soften. Melt chocolate with 1/2 cup milk over double boiler. Stir in gelatin, sugar and salt. Stir to dissolve gelatin. Refrigerate until slightly thickened. Stir together cream and vanilla and beat to soft peaks. Fold into chocolate mixture. Spoon into pie shell and refrigerate until firm.
Makes 1 9inch pie.
