Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
8 ounces semisweet chocolate 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened 2 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped 2 cups chopped peanuts
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Melt 8 ounces chocolate in microwave or double boiler. Stir until smooth. Stir in sugar, peanut butter, butter or margarine, eggs and vanilla. Sift together flour and baking powder and stir into chocolate mixture. Stir in chopped chocolate and peanuts. Drop by 1/4 cupfuls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until cookies are puffed and feel set. Cool on cookie sheet 1 minute. Transfer cookies to rack and cool completely.
Makes approx. 15 big cookies.
