Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 cup all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 1 cup softened butter or margarine 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1 large egg 1 1/4 cups quick or old fashioned oats 2 cups milk chocolate morsels, divided 3/4 cup chopped walnuts, divided
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. Combine flour and cinnamon in a small bowl. Beat together butter or margarine, both sugars and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy. Beat in egg. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in oats, 3/4 cup milk chocolate morsels and 1/2 cup walnuts. Spread batter into the prepared pan. Bake about 22 to 28 minutes until center is set. Remove pan from oven and immediately sprinkle top with remaining 3/4 cup milk chocolate morsels. Transfer to a rack and let stand 5 minutes. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 cup walnuts. Cool to room temperature. Cut into bars.
Makes about 2 1/2 dozen bars.
