Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Cake: 1/2 cup water 1/2 cup margarine 1 cup all purpose flour 4 large eggs
Filling: two 3 ounce packages instant chocolate pudding mix 2 1/2 cups milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 8 ounce container whipped topping
Glaze: 3 ounces semisweet chocolate chips, melted 1 cup sifted powdered sugar 4 tbsp. melted butter or margarine 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
For Cake: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bring water and margarine to a boil in a large saucepan. Beat in flour. Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir until mixture pulls away from the sides of the pan. Spread evenly on a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cool.
For Filling: Prepare pudding with milk. Fold in vanilla and whipped topping. Spread evenly over cooled cake. Refrigerate until set.
For Glaze: Stir together melted chocolate, powdered sugar, butter or margarine and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over filling.
Serves 14 to 16.
