Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3/4 cup diced butter 6 ounces chopped semisweet chocolate 1 ounce chopped unsweetened chocolate 3/4 cup sugar 2 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 2/3 cup all purpose flour 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1 cup chocolate covered raisins
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter an 8x8 inch baking pan. Stir together butter, semisweet and unsweetened chocolates in a medium saucepan over low heat until melted and smooth. Remove pan from the heat and cool chocolate mixture to lukewarm. Beat together sugar and eggs in a medium bowl about 3 minutes until thick and pale. Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla. Stir together flour, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Stir dry ingredients into batter until combined. Stir in chocolate covered raisins. Pour batter into the prepared pan. Bake about 30 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs. Transfer brownies to a rack and cool completely. Cut into squares.
Makes about 1 dozen brownies.
