Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
12 graham crackers 1 1/2 sticks cold butter, diced 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/8 tsp. salt 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips 1 cup chopped walnuts, pecans or almonds
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Line a 15x10 baking pan with foil leaving a 2 inch overhang at each end. Line bottom of pan with graham crackers, they will fit tightly. Melt butter in a saucepan. Whisk in sugar and salt. Cook 1 minute, whisking, until smooth. Spread evenly over crackers and bake 10 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly. Sprinkle chocolate chips over and bake 1 minute. Spread chocolate evenly with a spatula. Sprinkle nuts over. Cool in pan 30 minutes. Freeze until chocolate is firm, about 15 minutes. Lift from pan using foil overhang as an aid. Peel foil from crackers and cut into serving size pieces.
Makes about 1 1/2 pounds.
