Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
4 large eggs 1 1/2 cups milk 2 tbsp. all purpose flour 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. salt 3 cans, 7 ounces each, whole green chiles 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese 4 cups shredded monterey jack cheese
Directions
Lightly grease a 9x13 inch glass baking pan. Beat together eggs, milk, flour, pepper and salt to blend. Arrange chiles from 1 can in bottom of prepared pan. Sprinkle with 1/3 of each cheese. Repeat layering twice. Pour egg mixture over cheese and let stand 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Bake casserole 45 minutes until slightly puffed in center and golden brown on edges. Let cool 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
Serves 6 to 8.
