Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Coleslaw: 6 cups shredded green cabbage 1/4 cup sugar 1 cup shredded carrots 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/3 cup milk
Dressing: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1/2 tsp. celery seed 2 to 3 drops Tabasco sauce 3 tbsp. dried minced onion 1/3 cup buttermilk
Directions
For Coleslaw: Combine cabbage, sugar, shredded carrots, salt, pepper and milk in a large bowl. Toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate coleslaw mixture 15 minutes.
For Dressing: Stir together mayonnaise, celery seed, Tabasco, minced onion and buttermilk in a small bowl.
Pour prepared dressing over coleslaw and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate several hours to allow flavors to blend.
Makes about 7 cups coleslaw.
