Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 1/2 cups old fashioned oats 1 cup chopped walnuts 1 cup raisins 2/3 cup melted butter 1/3 cup honey 1 large egg 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 cup brown sugar 20 ounce can cherry pie filling
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spread the oats evenly in a 15x10 inch jelly roll pan. Toast oats about 15 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Transfer the toasted oats to a large bowl and stir in walnuts, raisins, butter, honey, egg, vanilla, salt, brown sugar and cherry pie filling. Grease the inside of the jelly roll pan. Press the oat mixture Firmly into the prepared pan. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until set. Transfer pan to a rack and cool completely. Cut into bars.
Makes about 2 dozen bars.
