Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups light corn syrup 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup cinnamon Red Hot candies 8 medium red delicious apples, skewered with sticks chopped walnuts or pecans
Directions
Combine corn syrup, sugar and candies in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly. Cover and cook 3 minutes. Uncover and cook to 290 degrees on a candy thermometer. Remove from heat and let stand 2 minutes. Dip apples in mixture, coating completely. Let excess drip off. Roll apples in nuts to coat. Place on tinfoil or waxpaper and cool completely.
Makes 8 apples.
