Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 pound lean ground chuck 1/2 cup toasted soft breadcrumbs 1 small onion, peeled and grated 1/4 cup sour cream pinch crumbled dried sweet basil 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 cup ketchup 1 tbsp. brown sugar
Directions
Combine ground chuck, toasted bread crumbs, grated onion, sour cream, sweet basil, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Knead until well mixed. Form beef mixture into 4 patties, about 3/4 inch thick. Cook patties on a rack about 4 inches from campfire or grill coals, 5 to 10 minutes per side until patties are browned and just cooked through. Meanwhile, stir together ketchup and brown sugar in a small bowl. Spoon mixture over patties and cook an additional 1 to 2 minutes until patties are glazed. Serve immediately.
Serves 4.
