Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
3 pounds butternut squash, halved, seeded, peeled, sliced 1/4 inch thick 4 cups milk 2 cups water 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. pepper 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg 1 clove garlic, crushed 2 cups heavy or whipping cream
Directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine the squash with the milk, water, salt, pepper, nutmeg and garlic. Heat to a simmer. Simmer until squash is just tender, about 4 minutes. Drain well. Transfer to a 2 quart baking dish. Por the cream over. Bake 20 minutes until browned. Serve hot.
Serves 6 to 8.
