Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
1 1/2 cups buttermilk 3 tbsp. curry powder 3 3/4 tsp. kosher salt, divided 1 1/2 tsp. pepper 3 chicken legs 6 chicken breast halves 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour 2 tsp. chili powder 3 cups(or more)canola oil
Directions
Mix buttermilk, curry powder, 3 tsp. salt and pepper in a large bowl. Add chicken and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours or overnight. Mix flour, chili powder and 3/4 tsp. salt in a pie plate. Heat oil in a large skillet to 375 degrees. Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in flour mixture to coat. Add chicken to skillet. Cover and cook until brown, 10 to 12 minutes. Uncover and turn chicken over. Continue cooking, uncovered, about 5 to 10 minutes until chicken is cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
Serves 6.
