For Crust: 2 cups all purpose flour 1 cup brown sugar 1/2 cup softened butter 1 cup pecan halves
For Filling: 2/3 cup butter 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 cup milk chocolate chips
Directions
For Crust: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine flour, brown sugar and butter in a large bowl. Mix 2 to 3 minutes on medium speed until well mixed. Pat crust mixture into the bottom of an ungreased 13x9 inch baking pan. Sprinkle pecans over crust.
For Caramel Filling: Combine butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan. Cook, stirring, over medium heat until mixture boils. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour filling over crust and bake 18 to 22 minutes until caramel is bubbly. Remove pan from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the top. Swirl melted chips slightly. Cool completely. Cut into bars.
