Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
2 cups all purpose flour 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, divided 1/2 cup + 2/3 cup butter, softened 1 cup pecan halves 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking pan. Combine flour and 1 cup brown sugar in a medium bowl. Add 1/2 cup butter and stir until crumbs form. Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a prepared pan. Sprinkle pecans over top. Combine 2/3 cup butter and 1/2 cup sugar in a small saucepan. Heat to a boil and pour over pecans. Bake 18 to 22 minutes until filling is bubbly and browned. Sprinkle chocolate chips over while still hot. Allow to melt slightly, then swirl with the tip of a knife. Cool and cut into bars.
Makes about 2 1/2 to 3 dozen bars.
