Ingredients (view qty in metric system instead)
Brownies: 5 ounces chopped unsweetened chocolate 4 ounces chopped semisweet chocolate 1/2 cup butter 1 1/2 cups sugar 4 large eggs 1 tsp. vanilla extract 1/2 cup all purpose flour 1/8 tsp. salt
Frosting: 1 cup creamy peanut butter 3 tbsp. butter, room temperature 2/3 cup sifted powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions
For Brownies: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 13x9 inch baking pan with foil. Lightly coat foil with cooking spray. Melt together both chocolates with butter in a small saucepan. Stir until smooth. Remove pan from heat and cool mixture to lukewarm. Beat together eggs, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in flour and salt on low speed. Add cooled chocolate mixture. Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake about 20 minutes until a toothpick comes out with a few crumbs. Transfer pan to a rack and cool completely before frosting.
For Frosting: Beat together peanut butter and butter in a medium bowl until smooth. Beat in powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Spread frosting evenly over brownies. Cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
Lift brownies out of pan using foil as an aid. Cut into squares.
Makes about 2 dozen brownies.
